Android Central Live: Multiscreen SDK senior developer Alan Queen

Software doesn't 'just work' — it takes a little help from folks like the Multiscreen SDK team

At the beginning of the Samsung Developers Conference one of the things we saw was the new casting feature Samsung is building into their new televisions. Using the new Multiscreen SDK, it's for more than just Android. Designed with the living room and your TV clearly in mind, it works with Android, iOS and JavaScript to help get content where you want to see it.

Alan explains that there are four key areas they had in mind when developing the SDK, and those are the discovery phase, the launch phase, the connect phase and the communication phase. Helping developers tackle these steps the right way will make for software that feels like magic — and every developer wants the user to think of their software as magical.

That's what Alan and his team are trying to do. Check out the video for a little of the "how" they plan to make it all happen.
